About The Artist

Sara Louise Tremblay, an American painter, was born [December 11, 1970] in [Bristol, CT] into a family of artisans, where an appreciation for creativity and craftsmanship was nurtured from an early age.

At nine years old, she discovered her passion for painting while attending college-level oil painting classes alongside her mother. Recognizing her daughter's creative spirit, her mother encouraged her artistic development and gave her the freedom to explore her own voice.

At thirteen, Tremblay began studying under Maine artist Carolyn 'Cal' Wilson, further developing her understanding of painting and artistic technique.

In 2016, she was introduced to master artist Heather Lewis, daughter of the renowned Delaware artist Jack Lewis. Through a three-year apprenticeship, Tremblay was immersed in a rich artistic tradition spanning generations, gaining invaluable knowledge of technique, composition, and the discipline of a professional studio practice.

Continuing her formal artistic education, Tremblay went on to study at the Milan Art Institute, expanding her technical foundation while continuing to develop her distinctive artistic voice.

Since 2017, Tremblay has exhibited and sold her work online and through juried exhibitions throughout the northeastern United States, from Maine to New York.

Her work reflects a lifelong devotion to painting shaped by mentorship, tradition, and an enduring belief in the power of art to create beauty, meaning, and connection.

Tremblay's experience with the essence of spirituality started as a young child while living life like a nomad; each day wandering through the woods and observing an "other presence" in nature. She grasps this energy in her paintings to open a world of healing for herself and others.

Tremblay's studio is prolific and open year round by appointment. Regularly, she designates space and time for contemplation; she might rest on a window sill overlooking the pond, sometimes, with Muffin, her big, fluffy, soulful rabbit. Tremblay plans to continue selling her poetic paintings online and in-person at juried and private shows. She welcomes commissions.

THE BREATH OF THE DIVINE

"Angels whisper in the light passed down; through me, in me, and around me. In the quiet, I can feel them, hear them, and almost see them. At times, their unbending pillars hold me upright. Then, in perfect time, they nudge me to bended knee. They are steadfast lovers of my soul and keep me close to The Divine.

I yearn to live in this ethereal world where angels hold me in delight. There, we get to play and dream; the angels and me. They lead me through golden forest floors to trickling steams of water where butterflies twirl their wings above it.

We glide through fields of tall grass as they change color with the moving sun. We run amid the creatures hiding there and chase the shadows of birds until we fall with laughter.

And when I'm broken, the angels are with me, still. Away they carry my tears to a well of hope which I can draw upon. It is from here that I form and paint the deeply mystic breath of The Divine."
